An Ardas of a Sikh for his needs is heard and universal forces are activated for the fulfillment.
An Ardas which benefits many is heard.
An Ardas without involving ‘I’ or ego is heard.
An Ardas that reduces ego or haume and is spiritually uplifting is heard.
The life that we are to live as per guru’s guidance is that of living in the presence of Waheguruji. We know and are aware that HE the creator is ever present everywhere. HE is within and without. HE is the Guru within. HE is the only presence. The world is a maya and our separateness is an illusion. The ego perpetrates this separateness. The relationships with, other persons and objects in the world perpetrates this separateness.
A person who lives life as per Guru's given wisdom and understanding is a Sikh (Disciple). The Sikh moulds his mind to Guru's teachings.A Sikh lives life in such a way that the element of separation is gradually reduced and in this way the Sikh gets nearer and nearer to HIM. The Sikh is not a renouncer of the world and its objects but ever lives enjoying the world in a non-attachment way. It is like travelling in a train and knowing all the time that the seat does not belong to him at the same time during the journey it is for his sitting comfort. The Sikh’s relationship with the worldly relations and objects should be like that.
A Sikh also is an ever acceptance state of mind. He knows that what is happening in the world is a result of HIS Will. This WILL is creative force acting in accordance with thoughts and beliefs in collective consciousness. This world is ever changing one. There is cycle of life and death. There are many such cycles. A Sikh does not resists or feels angry at what has happened or is happening but knows that HIS prayer would be heard and the same forces would shift and bring about the desired change. The change brought about is within the ambit if creative pattern of the universe. The change is in accordance with the universal laws.
Take for example, a person who prays to heal the body from a disease .His body has become diseased because of his own karma consisting of negative thinking, emotions and behavior which affect the physiology and creates pathological changes in the body over some time. A prayer would not immediately change the body to a healthy state. The change initiated by prayer is in accordance with the universal laws. Regeneration and recovery is initiated through the removal of cause of disease. At mind level the proximity of divine and the state of surrender dissolves the mental blocks which are now positive emotions. At the ethric level the negative energy is disintegrated. At the physical level the body’s regeneration mechanism becomes operational. The external situations change and the medical intervention where needed is appropriate and effective with right persons involved.
For even such a desired change to occur, the prayer has to be in the right way.
The first requirement is the state of mind that stops struggles and surrenders. There is no resistance of the type ‘Why me?’ There is also no dependence on external sources like a medical system or medication. The medical systems and the medicines work in accordance with the universal forces of change and have nothing absolute about them. Fear and doubt about the effectiveness of the Creator or the divine towards whom the prayer is directed only results in that very fear being manifested. Here we are not allowing the Creator. In this world the rule is ‘what one sows so one reaps’. When we sow the confidence of effectiveness of creative forces then what we reap is the result of a successful prayer outcome. This is perceived as a miracle but in fact not a miracle but a manifestation as per laws. All that happens is within the Hukam (God’s will) .
Prayer is a method of moving forces of creation in a more powerful way than we do in the daily life. When we pray and allow the initiation of action by the higher creative forces without any doubt and fear in the mind and in full confidence and so it happens. The mechanism of ardas is a part and parcel of the design of this world created by Waheguru. It is part of path towards knowing our origin of being same as the creator. In prayer our awareness is focused within at a level of consciousness closer to subtle spiritual dimensions.
Way of the prayer is one of Love. We are in communion with the divine. We are in present eternal time of NOW without any anxiety towards outcome or failure. We pray and remain in a state of confidence.
After the prayer we should recite shabads only and should avoid repeating the prayer as it shows our lack of faith in the prayer and giving of appropriate result by the Karta (creator). The recitation of shabads when any doubt comes would keep us in a positive frame of mind.
Ardas shold be done preferably during amrit vela ( before 6.00 AM early morning) and if possible before SGGSji.During ardas keep eyes closed and the focus of awareness deep within. Feel the presence of Karta within. HE is ever present wether we are aware or not. The purpose of prayer should be genuine and for the benefit . The purpose which has element of raising the ego ( ahankar) or is harmful is less likely to be fulfilled. We can also put forward an arrangement whereby an assertion is made that as thankfulness a spiritually uplifting activity would be undertaken. Here thankfulness which is ritualistic or donation that does not raise ones spiritual level is less likely to be acceptable. In a prayer love relationship and spiritual advancementis of paramount importance.

ReplyDeleteThe health situation you have mentioned is no doubt serious from physical body's point.
Gurmat explains that Naam is the cure for all diseases. To access the power of Naam the following suggestions are based on Gurmat.
1. Opening up to Naam- Surrender the mental thinking which has anxiety, fear, doubts and have the Gurmat thinking which has forgiveness, tolerance, confidence, peace, love, responsibility , awareness of Hukam.
This is possible through Ardas.
2. Touch of Naam - To acess Namm do Simran of Gurbani Shabads and pungtees. Keep your awareness inward. Be in meditation. Keep doing Simran.
The state of mind should be of confidence and of Faith. Chardikala.
3 Expressing intention - the health is a state of body natural to the person who who has Naam connection. Naam is our Mool. The Mool. The mool is a State of sat (true state) and the disease is a part of world of maya. When we identify ourself with mool by being jyote swarope we give up being a person with haume.
while doing simran through gurbani feel it being an image of Jyote and so being Healthy.
Focus on health and not on the way health has to come.
Keep faith.

ReplyDeleteQuestion : I would like to know that which is Gurmantar - is it Waheguru or Satnaam? What should one meditate on.
Reply :
The Gurumantra is "Waheguru" Bhai Gurdasji has also made it clear. More so the Simran of Gurbani has close connection with "Waheguru" gurumantra as in the whole creation the Shabad is prevailing and Shabad is our Guru. Through Simran we keep the focus on the wonders of creation through this Gurumantra - the Hukam in operation, the presence of Karta in everything . The whole creation is wondrous and vismad.
Satnaam is part of Moolmanta and specifies that the Karta is the only Sat(truth) in the creation and rest is changing and maya(illusion). The Satnaam (which is part of Mool mantra)calls for extended vichar so that our mind comes to realize the truth behind creation. The whole of Mool mantra has Vichar associated with it about waheguruji and the creation. The simran through Gurumantra is done with vichar in the background. As we keep doing Simran the Mool Mantra unveils the truths as intuitive experiences.
Question : Also is it compulsory to do the Ardas written in the prayer book and if not then how should one perform the Ardas. I am unsure because I am not very good at punjabi.
Reply : The prayer book has ardas which is done when there is sangat like in a Gurdwara. The individual ardas can be short . Even a single word or sentence said to Waheguruji is an ardass however for proper focus and concentration the short ardas commonly has beggining part of the full Panthic ardas where we remember the Gurus. Some Sikhs recite shabads or sentences from gurbani as part of ardas. The purpose is to shift focus to a peaceful mind with an inward awareness . This way faith is there . In an ardas it is imperative that we believe and avoid any doubts. The inward focus achieves such a state of mind which has faith .
WKWF, Thank you so much for your kind reply. Please Sadh Sangat ji, could you pray for me and my family. We are going through a rough patch. Das would appreciate it very much. Lots of love to the beautiful Sadh Sangat.

Often the Dukh( suffering, hurt etc) is a cause toward a Shift towards spiritual understanding and living. This is the main purpose we have taken birth as a human. The cycle can be broken when we embrace RAZA (acceptance ). Accept whether what is being accepted is to our liking or not. Guruji says "Farida Bure Da Bhala kar gussa man na handae" Embrace Sikh thought, beliefs and life. The 'Gurbani' when read with attention on words , meaning . Gurbani changes our state of mind and brings Naam in our thoughts and life. Attach yourself to Guru and the Guru takes care of the Sikh

The answer to your question “. Can my sister gain through prayers” is YES.
ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰਿ ॥Jeea Kee Birathhaa Hoe S Gur Pehi Aradhaas Kar.
- SGGS 519.
Regarding “If so what shabad and how she must do for this kind of situation” a small explanation of the method is required. Through the Ardas done with love and FAITH we can ask the Akal Purakh through the Shabad Guru for fulfillment of our desire . The fulfillment of the desire is within the Hukam. The explanation as per “gurmat” is as below:
Gurbani asks us to live within the HUKAM and RAZA. It means that there should be No Blaming ,No resentment,No Anger,No Rationalisation, No judgement etc . The situation may not be to our liking but associated negativity should not be there in our mind , after all we created such a situation in the first place individually as well as collectively - the individual contributions vary.
Know that you would have to empty your mind of associated negativity so that the door opens up for the touch of Naam to be there. Naam is the MOOL . Naam is within all. The events and occurrences are within the Hukam. Ardas as per “gurmat” is within Hukam. We had sown the seeds that gave us this result and now we can sow “different thoughts , feelings , actions and intention “ so that the new situation comes in our life.
The family ( close and near ones)should do a collective ardas during Amritvela after recitation of Gurbani – nitnem or Sukmani Sahib . They should do the Ardas that “ that their beloved daughter come back to the loving fold of the family “
Subsequently the close family members and any other who volunteers should recite repeatedly lines fro Gurbani to keep the faith alive . This recitation should be kept up at individual level and done quietly within the mind keeping Birti (awareness) within.
The following lines are a suggestion others can be chosen as well.

ReplyDeleteSat Sri Akal ji
Your question is about choice connected with matrimony.People often ask Divine help for our life issues, problems and decisions.
A Sikh is expected to have a proper approach in this matter.
Gurbani explains that it is our own choices that are creating the results in life in the form of circumstances and situations.
As we sow so we reap.
The solution is simple sow differently.
Decide and choose what one kind of a result ( life situation and direction ) one wants to be present in life . This is what is asked in Ardas. The state of ardas is such that in that moment of talking with Waheguruji within one is in tune with the positive choice made.
Waiting for a sign from Babaji is not proper as it means some divine force is controlling everything and directing everything or comes to help. The Hukam is there in existence as absolute as to how things happen and happen precisely. There is no pick and choose or directing or sos help. Help in fact exists and appears as help because we decide on our experience to look like an help, to feel as if help has come and so it happens.
Gurbani says :
ਭਾਣੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਭੋਗੀਐ ਭਾਣੈ ਕਰਮ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
In the Bhaanai, pain and pleasure are experienced; and in the Bhaanai, actions are performed.
- ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੯੬੩ p-863
" Bhaanai " is Hukam that causes the results. Often it is translated as God's will or said to be an act of God but reality is that the result is "seed - and-result " in action.
At the same time when the Sikh shifts the context then there is oneness.
" Bhaanai " is not there to become fatalistic but to make correct choices in life as to how it should be and start acting towards that. Accept the choice made. Do not resist what is presently there only change the attitude and choose what new should be there.
The person in life would come as your decision as to need is towards life together and purpose.
The Hukam's actions are perfect.
Ardas is how we connect , decide and accept the choice. During Ardas we are true to our self.
Veerji can you explain what the last paragraph means ..starting from the ..."we can also put forward ....and ending with less likely to be acceptable " what arrangement are you referring to ? and what do you mean by spiritually uplifting activity ? can you elaborate more on that ?

We have to first see what is meant by "spiritually uplifting".purpose of simran is to connect with waheguruji , to know about the real nature of the world , to know about waheguruji. Simran is done through gurbani reading, vichar and kirtan. Waheguru jap is simran that through repitition makes our mind accepts and believe thehidden neality which is sach - the true reality that is oneness.
Shukar Meaning being thankfull is also a away to connect with waheguruji . It is also a way to ask. Being thankfull is remembrance. To be in presence. To be near sach- waheguruji.
Only our incorrect beliefs , from spiritual point of view , prevent the connection. Thanking has to be genuine from heart and not mere words.
Gurbani shabads explain that waheguruji takes care even before asking.
Aukhi ghari na dekhan dein apna birdh samaleh.
Meaning the the bad situation does not manifest , it is taken care off beforehand. HE takes care of one who becomes HIS - connected.
I want to be forgiven, will I be forgiven ? How will I know I have been forgiven. How can I stay calm I feel tense all the time. I want to start paryer, I cant read Punjabi at all.

ReplyDelete"I want to be forgiven, will I be forgiven ? How will I know I have been forgiven. How can I stay calm I feel tense all the time. I want to start paryer, I cant read Punjabi at all. "
Sat Sri Akal
To ask forgiveness with all sincerity brings in forgiveness. This is the Hukam.
The issue is with us only. We have a feeling of guilt but are we striving to change.
Have we decided to change our thinking and live life in a new Guru explained way?
Decide and act. This process itself would bring forgiveness .The creator is all knowing .In fact it is only because of HIS presence everywhere in the creation that creation runs. We are just a personality in this created world.
Prayer does not need special words. All words directed at the creator is a prayer. Formal prayer can be learnt but is not an impediment.
Feeling tense indicates that negative emotions, anxieties, guilt etc. are there in the mind.
Solution is to shift. Start thinking and acting positively. Know that there is positive side to personality as well which can be cultivated. The following steps as per gurmat are helpful:
- Sit in the company of persons who are through gurbani kirtan , gurbani recitation are connecting with the creator. Gurdwara is the best place for this association.
- Do seva (service) . Here also one can start with gurdwara.
- If in the beginning Punjabi cannot be read / understood then reading translations and other writings of Sikh writers.
- Small sentences of gurbani with translation can be understood and repeated. These are the best source to connect with creator and to live in confidence .
I want to know if any of the family member is having bad behaviour.

ReplyDelete"I want to know if any of the family member is having bad behaviour.
..abusing....arrogant...stubborn....how can the other member of the family control this by paath..can the other person do paaths on his/her name to have peace in home...."
To The above the obvious solution desired is influencing/persuation leading to change of thinking and behaviou in another person. Here with the other is a family relationship.
But this is now how things happen in this world.
Every thing is works as per Hukam of the Creator. There is a system.
Ardas is a way to connect with Waheguru ji the creator , the Naam.
Naam connection brings the change,
Naam changes us and as we change our world changes. The events around us shift. The circustances change. The relatioships improve and correct.
We have to be in acceptance of Hukam. We have to live in Raza - meaning in acceptance of what is,non resistance, When along with this we observe the play of Hukam - meaning we observe and feel Waheguruji in everyone and everything. We live in feeling of HIS presence and feeling of anand . Not resisting what is happening, resisting, reacting and in anger. Being a victim.
In ardas seek the change in yourself.
Be forgiving,
Be non resisting.
Be understanding,
Be loving.
Be patient.
Be tolerant.
Be helpful.
Above all
Be loving.
The change in you would change your world, gurbani shabads comfort and change your state of mind.
Know that " as you sow , so you reap ". This is true of your thoughts which are the seeds. So the seeds should be good thoughts.
With ardas you walk the world with the creators Hukam.
You live and flow with the Hukam.
When you change your thinking about the other person being inherently good ,just needing understanding and love.May be you are not looking at situation from his/ her point of view. May be you also are being stubborn. As you change ,
The relatioship changes.
In ardas seek the strength. Seek that creator be with you in changing the relationship.
Guruji has taught us to remember the Creatot - the Shabad as Waheguru so as to be in awe of play of hukam in creation, It is wondrous, Wah.
Ardas brings us closer to karta. Have faith. The change comes.

ReplyDeleteThe Child body is not yet formed. The body is growing. This body also has a brain that behaves as genetically bestowed. But the Soul within is old. The soul has lived before and had been different personalities in those lives. In this life the soul when within the body is unaware of past lives. The mind is divided in two parts. The Subconscious and conscious.
The behavior of the child is a mixture of personality traits : learned , genetically bestowed, from past life learning etc.
Naam is our Mool and so of everything. But in this life it what we sow is what we reap. Our thoughts( akhars) shape our destiny. Living together is an opportunity to grow spiritually together. This is through togetherness , understanding, tolerance, seva, cooperation. It is here that er best learn to control anger by being peaceful and loving even in the presence of a provocation.
We by our behaviour also influence those with whom we are living. Set examples. Your thoughts and feelings are also subjectively known to those you are in contact with.
Your positive words are heard. There is response.
Focus on good qualities the child has. Encourage these. Channel the childs thoughts.
Waheguruji is kartapurakh. The world moves as per Hukam. There is only goodness in the world.
The awareness of bad teaches us what good is.
Only after being involved we can know what detachment is.
World is for experience and spiritual growth.
The gurbani is our guru that explains.
The Shabad Guru within guides.
When we seek peace in our life. Peace is there. First we have to have faith. Become HIS truly.

i am having a lot of problems in life .What paath should i do
ReplyDeleteReply to the question put by Anonymous above
ReplyDelete(It would be better if one writes name then there would be commitment for learning and the answer would come; when one hides as there is an option on site then the answer to would remain subtle)
“i am having a lot of problems in life .What paath should i do",
The problems in life are because of our involvement with outer world and remaining away from the inner spiritual connection: Naam.
As a society we have become hypnotized by the hum of daily life. Check consciously your thoughts and activities in the morning, during daytime and at night time just to realize how detached we are from a spiritual connection. Between day planning, smart phones, tablets and TVs we are sunk in the concerns of daily life. Then there are our desires and we wish for a change. Then come problems that shake us.
Gurbani explains that Naam connection resolves all problems. When Naam enters one’s mind through Simran the outer world of Maya changes. It aligns with our inner feelings of serenity a, peace and a subtle Anand. The problems no longer trouble us, needs get fulfilled and the life style changes.
Which path is not the issue here? Any gurbani Shabad would do. Just start ---
Connect with gurbani through Vichar. Repeat gurbani Shabad lines. Connecting with gurbani is simran. Let gurbani words be in your mind. Repeat – Jap.
Start with Nitnem Baani’s.
Do vichar.
Do simran.
It is not about just reading gurbani but about being connecting with the words which then would shift the feelings. Live with the peace gurbani brings. Do not get agitated by any outer world problem. Be confident these would pass away. There would be resolution.
There are lot of questions received by me from Sikhs regarding problems in life. Path is the way taken and advised. Gurbani further advises that PATH is to be done with VICHAR. With path the gurbani must to allowed to connect and shift the mind.
ReplyDeleteSACHH must settle in the mind. The first message Sachh conveys that everything else is perishable having limited lifespan. Only SACHH which is our MOOL reflected in our Jyote swaroope soul nature and consciousness is permanent and ever living , unchanging.
The world is ever changing and in cyclic motion of life-death. So the problems of life do not have any permanence. these can and do get shifted to a desired one.
Gurbani tells that these problems are because of our own karma. This karma is that being done even now by our thoughts and emotions of fear ( japji Sahib - Akhri pauri).
Do not see these problems having permanence. Ask in Ardas what you Need and see these fade away . The requirement would arise in your life. your new thoughts are your new karma.
Do path to connect with your MOOL which is same as Naam. Live with feeling of presence of waheguruji initiated by gurbani.
In Ardas Guruji advises that-
Guru Nanak says Dhyaoo.
Guru Angad, Guru amardas , guru Ramdas -- HE becomes Sahaye.
Guru Arjan, Guru Hargibind , Guru Har rai---- Do Simran
Guru Harkrishan ---- SEE HIM around you , your suffering would go
Guru Teg Bahadar ---- Nau Nidh would come

Regarding feeling pain, palpitaions, heaviness in chest , feeling heartbeat appears to be some body issue problem regarding which no diagnostic comments can be made. One can only make assumption. Assuming that these are symptoms prior to any pathalogical and detectable development. nothing definite can be said based on information provided.
But it still is an issue. Naamaukhad affirms all kinds of cure so in addition to conventional treatment gurbani's guidance and way be also followed.
Any medical problem is a body's message that our thoughts and lifestle is not proper. These are being reflected through functioning and dysfunctional changes in the body. Mind and body are interconnected.
Gurbani states the related Hukam :"Aape beej aapeh hi khah" - as one sows so one eats. It means that the seed sown by our thoughts and actions is what we face up in the form of life circumstances and body functioning changes.
Follow gurbani and introduce in thoughts and actions the gurbani guided attitudes. We are afflicted by five vikars (passions). To be free of these gurbani guidance is to be followed.
About anger : forgive and forget the wrongs done by others . Do not keep the anger within against these persons but still do good.
Be Detached by knowing about impermanence of material things. This helps to keep control over desires and regulate them.
Control the thoughts - your type of sangat is important here. Satsangat in gurdwara is topmost whereas sangat of gurmukhs etc are desirable. The books be also good as these are also part of sangat (company). best is guru's company through gurbani shabads - pungtees.
these are a few examples to introduce life style changes.
Gurbani explains that we have not only to read but also to do Vichar (contemplation on meaning) of gurbani. Even few lines of shabad vichar is better that just plain reading of gurbani without concentration on words and word meaning.
Ardas is connecting and talking to Waheguruji. Fulfilment is left to waheguruji. As we ask our father who does something if needed at appropriate time so does wahwguruji. In Ardas we ask support. We ask Waheguruji to be with us and help in actions.
Life we live in Raza and Action. We have good thoughts and good actions. Waheguruji's support is there. Hukam ensures result.
Which shabad to recite to save my marriage ? Plz suggest me its very urgent
ReplyDeletemy father is cruel. at a times when he is angry he beats my mother who is 60+. apart from this , he uses abusive language. we cant leave him however, living in same place is daily death.
ReplyDeletewe are forced to live by his choices!!! he takes all my earnings and still rude. what to do?
ReplyDeleteThe Situation with the father and family life you have mentioned is the present life experience you are having. The situation is what one you are living with.
This presents us with what Gurbani says about relationships, the troubles in life. In the first place these are Karmic in nature. As we a family also we have group karma. The way out is also Karma.
You have to take bold decisions. You need to be confident in approach. You have to strongly assert and stand up to any beating. Stand up against misuse of earnings.
Stand up against rudeness. He is to be firmly told that this is to stop.
Do not have any fear of the future. No anxiety about what would happen. Be firm . Be truthful. There is to be no revenge. No anger but just steadfast firmness. Persist with your firm attitude.
Things would definitely change in view of the new attitude being expressed by you. This is the message that gurbani conveys. recite Japji sahib Baani lines. you would know which lines though an internal feeling.

I would first give Gurbani view regarding our birth in the world-
We have taken birth in this world which is a duality, meaning it has the other aspect to the qualities that the creator, Ekankar has. The truth called Sach in Gurbani is formless where as the world has forms. The Sach is ONE where as world has diversity. The Sach is simply love in expression but the world has fear.
In this world within the body we have to deal with Attachments and three Gunns of Maya . We are enticed by the five negative passions.
The way out is to come in the sanctuary of the Satguru. The Shabad Guru is Satguru Purakh and in word for is in Guru Granth Sahib. The Shabad gives gyan, guidance in the Gurbani hymns and through inner voice within.
Satguru Purakh an aspect of Ekankar near to us is ever forgiving. The Guru guides with way out. Just do Ardas, the prayer . Surrender your own wilful ways and adopt Guru's way of thinking. Surrender your body to the Guru by letting it be in Guru's service as is Gurbani's guidance. The purity of Mind comes with Guru's service which begins with reading Gurbani, listening to the Kirtan, knowing meaning of Gurbani to adopt the guidance in life.
Then to do Jap for going within.
Without going within the Maya and fear would keep on disturbing you creating problems. Go within the Gurbani way.
Past does not matter, the sins does not matter. As long as you come to the Guru. all are embraced by the Guru.
Meanwhile , the Gurbani way is to keep efforts toward purity by Karmic actions. When a negative thought comes do not let it get hold. Just shift to something else. Move towards good company, go to Gurdwara, do seva.
You sure would come out of this phase of life to a beautiful one.
sir i want my love back plz help me.. what should i do?
ReplyDeleteWaheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh. I am in a relationship from 5 years.we really love each other so much and want to get married.but due to ill deeds of my father his parents are refusing to accept me as thier daughter in law. My parents are gursikh. but before few years my father got involved in external affairs with a lady. He used to beat my mother use ill words even he was asking for divorce even now he does same. I have very much hard time going on in my family. As me and my friend are from same place his family knows about my family conditions very well. But we love each other truly and our love is pure and want to get married. Due all these issues we are facing obstacles in our marriage due to issues of my father his parents don't want us to get married and have relation with my family. Everyday i do ardas for our love and marriage but everytime he talks to his parents we get negative response from his family and due to fear of his parents he don't talk to me properly as he did earlier but he feels that no other girl can handle him and his family as i can do and he says he doesn't want to marry any other girl. My family wants me to marry him as they think he is perfect for me as he used to support me in every ups and downs of life even after knowing my family issues he never left me alone and talked to his parents about our marriage.what should I do to get his parents ready for our marriage? Please help me. Suggest me what should I do to save my love as well as my family.

Life problems and issues are resolved through Ardas which is a spiritual way. The Gurbani explains it and this has to be understood. The way of Ardas is subtle and its intricacies are listed below-
I) Our thoughts and beliefs are behind our life circumstances. Gurbani explains in Japji composition that “the words writes our destiny on the forehead”. The words are thoughts in our mind. It is also stated that “what we sow that we reap” which is cause-effect and creates karma. The negative thoughts attract negatives in life while positive bring positive circumstances. These is part of the functioning construct of the Physical World in which we are living. Our problems come out of these. The synchronicities play major role in our life.
II) Know that as per Gurbani what ever is happening is decided by what we are the present. Past is memory and future is potential, not yet fixed. So in the present do not feel bad about what is happening. Don't blame anyone. Accept responsibility as you yourself are the cause which could be prebirth choice of family and even life path pattern. Nothing is fixed as being Jyote Swarupe we can decide to not further follow to experience this pattern or karmic effect. Ardas is the way.
III) The Maya is very strong in the Sargun world. There is lot of misinformation about Spiritual and other things in this world. One misinformation that Karma does not change. We have to suffer results. Gurbani says we suffer because of Haume ( considering us as a separate individual being) and attachment with worldly objects which are transitory in nature as everything is under effect of Kal (dies). The Karma follows its course as long as we believe in its effect. We can always choose to follow a different life style and step away from all past karmic cycles. Past affects us as long as we allow it by keeping thinking about it and feeling its effect through emotions in the body in our present now.
IV) The change can happen when we move our awareness within, go antarmukh. Within is Nirgun and here we can perceive Sach, the truth. Here we are in Sharan. Here fear is not part of Nirgun Sach.
V) The Creator, Karta Purakh is always with us. The Karta is in everything and the Hukam is behind all the world functioning. The Karta knows each and every thought of us. We are part of whole and connected with Karta all the time. There is oneness and nothing is other than Ekankar.
IV) Do Ardas by going within. Remaining antarmukh. Have a dialogue like you have with mother, father or a friend. Explain and tell that you no longer wish to continue with the situation. Ask that let this situation go.
V) Now question comes - what to ask ? As in this world there is positive and negative together- a polarity. If one is there then the other is also there. With Wealth comes involvement in earning and maintaining it. There is attachment and fear of losing it. When there is happiness then there is potential for suffering too. This is the reason Gurbani advices us to change attitude from self ownership to everything belongs to HIM. we simply go for experiences. Gurbani says to ask for Naam which is our true Sach identity. Best thing to ask in beginning is to ask Guru to be present with you and guide you in life. The Guru then guides through inner voice, intuitive understanding or synchronous events. Talk to Guru always any time. Feel Guru's presence within and around. The Guru is "Satguru Purakh"- a presence of Ekankar in this world.
VI) Do Ardas in the early morning before 6 AM as the world activity is yet to start. You then can go within. Ardas can be done any time by taking awareness within. You can talk anytime.
For you my suggestion is to carefully read the above. Start going to Gurdwara daily if possible. You cannot decide how the others have to live their life. But you can choose what your experience of life with them for you has to be. We however can always request in Ardas and leave everything to the kirpa of the Guru in whatever way it comes.

I presume that you are interested in Naam Jap as sentence which does not tell the purpose of going out. In any case as the time is before 6 AM so it is for Jap meditation.
The Jap can be done walking, sitting, working- with eyes closed or open. The conscious attention is to be kept within and if needed to work by still keeping focus point within. It can be done sitting on the bed. The early morning time is seed time as distraction is very less.
Gurmeet Singh
The Jap is done
Thank you for guidance

ReplyDeleteThe disease you state is incurable so this statement appears to be a belief. If you are looking to have cure then first think of it being curable. The conventional methods may not able to treat it.
Better email me at naamaukhad@gmail.com as above information is incomplete.

ReplyDeleteWhatever the situation we are into is that due to our Past karam.
Ex
one of our family member does not listen to us At all. And whole family suffers badly. And he is the head of the family.carrying EGO anger always .
We tried enough
So why does whole family suffers unnecessary.is that due to Bad karam of past lives ??
What can be done ?.

ReplyDeletePast Karma are there but not in the way there effect is generally understood.
These are thoughts which with actions became habitual. We thought good also.
As Soul- mind are one and these take rebirths. So after Amnesia of past lives the mind has some latent tendencies.
The earth is Dharamsal. Here both good bad exists. Here in our body are five passions. Here effect of Maya is strong. As our mind has Haume, a sense of individuality. We also do not have perception of Sach. Haume gets involved with the negatives quick.
Fear and love both are here but in sargun fear energies are strong. In collective consciousness also the five are strong.
Nirgun has only love. Sach is Nirbhau so the fear is not part of it but is created.
Karma we are doing even now. Gurbani says what we sow that we reap.
Our thoughts on mind make our bhagh. See Japji Akhri Naam ...
So we as we too think and react on anger in a person then we are reacting in a negaitive way. This only make anger strong.
Do not react.
Ignore.
Be calm.
Remain in peace.
Only this way anger gets subdued. The habits get weak.
Mind it we are also single and groups. Family is a group. Anger becomes group Karma also.
All suffer at the same time.
Another point be understood is that Lekha means account of the way our life has been lived. What better we did. So then we decide what better we would do in next life.
Gurbani asks us to come in Saran, by shifting surt within towards presence of Satguru. As haumeh goes or dies then Naam comes.
When facing anger be peaceful.
Send love feelings.
Don't react.
At other times also be loving towards
Others. Satguru and so the Naam too has this quality of being ever loving, and forgiving
