The 5D consciousness is much talked about these days in the new age spiritual community. Gurbani however already guides the Sikh toward such a consciousness.
First let us look at what is 5D consciousness. 5D refers to 5 th Dimension. The earth is said to be having life that has 3D consciousness. The 3D has spiritual darkness meaning there is no awareness of spiritual truths like nature of self or oneness present. There is also no conception of the formless Creator. There is illusion of Maya all around hiding truth. There are many religions on earth who are simply following ritualistic practices. There is suffering all around because of wrong life style.
Gurbani tells that on earth it is Dhram Khand meaning the consciousness at this level is involved in karmic experiences so as to learn about right and wrong. The people also have to learn about true spiritual path and understand that ritualistic practices would not make them aware of truth. The path is known through the wisdom imparted by the Guru’s teachings. The Guru has to be true one and then by becoming a spiritual learner meaning a Sikh ( one who is devoted to leaning spiritual truths from the one chosen true guru only) .
Who is True Guru is to be understood first. There are many who call themselves Guru but they can speak or take a disciples only upto the level they have reached. These Guru’s themselves practice ritualistic path so are not true Guru. The Saints over the time have revealed that true guru is the Creator ownself who is found within. This too is the message of Gurbani, that is in the form of hymns in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Gurbani teaches Nirgun Naam Bhakti marg. The Sargun marg has ritualistic path and idol worship. Nirgun path toward knowing the formless Creator.
The next khand or level is Gyan Khand which is level where the awareness and knowledge of truth begins. The Gurbani speaks of further higher khands or levels.
Spiritual Awareness that Gurbani opens up is one that ever has feeling of Divine presence. The Self is seen as HIS light and ego truth is understood. Ego is explained further in Gurbani in broader way as Haume .
